NATO forces are the pawns of Satan
Archbishop Christodoulos,
The Leader
of the Greek Orthodox Church
The bombing war violates and shreds the basic provisions
of the United Nations Charter and other conventions and treaties; the
attack on Yugoslavia constitutes the most brazen international aggression
since the Nazis attacked Poland to prevent "Polish atrocities"
against Germans. The United States has discarded pretensions to
international legality and decency, and embarked on a course of raw
imperialism run amok.
Walter J. Rockler,
former prosecutor during the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal
To paraphrase the words of Lord Bertram Russell in his
introductory statement at the First Russell War Crimes Tribunal Concerning
American War Crimes in Vietnam one must say that the conscience of mankind has
been profoundly disturbed by the war of aggression being waged by the United
States and its satellites against Yugoslavia. The world is numbed by the
arrogant brutality of the United States Government.
War crimes are the actions of powers whose arrogance leads them
to believe that they are above the law. Might, they argue, is right....It is not
enough to identify the criminal. The United States must be isolated and rendered
incapable of further crimes, stated Lord Bertram Russell at the 1971 Stockholm
session of the Russell Tribunal. (1)
With the war of aggression against Yugoslavia United States
abrogated many treaties and obligations in international law including Article 2
of the UN Charter prohibiting use of force against sovereign states, The Vienna
Convention of the Law of Treaties forbidding the use of force to compel any
state to sign an international agreement, and the Helsinki Final Act
guaranteeing the boundaries of European states. During the course of the
aggression against Yugoslavia United States and her satellites blatantly and
deliberately committed war crimes, crimes against peace and crimes against
humanity.
The verdicts rendered at the Yaroslavl and Kiev sessions of the
Peoples War Crimes Tribunal, constituted by the All-Slavic Assembly, clearly
show under the weight of overwhelming evidence presented, that US and other NATO
countries committed war crimes during the recent war of aggression against
Yugoslavia.
The Tribunal was established for the trial and punishment of the
major war criminals of the NATO countries and it has the power to try any
persons, who , acting in the interests of the NATO countries, committed the
following crimes:
(a) Crimes against Peace: namely planning, preparation ,
initiation or waging of a war of aggression, or a war in violation of
international treaties, agreements and assurances, or participation in a common
plan and conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the foregoing.
(b) War Crimes: namely, violation of the laws or customs of war.
(c) Crimes against Humanity - murder, extermination and other
inhuman acts committed against civilian population.
The Findings of the Tribunal and the Verdicts can be read bellow.
